February Spotlight: Cafe @ The Mill in Sellersville, PA

I’m going to start this off with just throwing it out there… I *might* be a little bit excited to write about this particular business for some selfish reasons. You see, the owners (Staci and Shane Dam) here are friends of mine, and I absolutely ADORE them. The amazing work they have put into this community is just so wonderful, and the cozy little empire they’ve built has become a staple favorite for my family and I. So yeah. I’m totally going to plug them and tell you all about their greatness!

Now here’s the thing. I’m a total sucker for a great latte. I’m also a sucker for great service and a decent bill when I’m done with stuffing my face like the shameless little fat kid I am inside. This beautiful little gem of a cafe just gets me in alllllllll the right ways! Staci and Shane own two fantastic restaurants: Dam Good Cafe in Dublin (tucked away in the shopping center where the DMV is), and Cafe @ The Mill in Sellersville. They opened their first restaurant with a simple goal: to provide really, really great menu options at normal-people prices, with excellent service and a family feel to it all. When they opened Cafe @ The Mill, they upped the ante by adding in specialty lattes, cappuccinos, and focused on a breakfast & lunch experience that will BLOW YOU AWAY. Have you ever had french toast made with a cranberry-orange muffin? It smells like heaven on a plate, guys. Their daily quiche specials and unique scramblers will fill your tummy like it’s never been filled before and quench every last desire your taste buds could possibly imagine. Ask for a steamy hand-blended latte, or a freshly brewed mango iced tea, or a cup of their in-house ground bold coffee and get yourself ready for a meal that will satisfy even the most critical of breakfast foodies. I’m a super snob about breakfast. And I will tell you, everything on their menu is superb. In the mood for lunch? Pop in and order a juicy, cooked-to-perfection burger. Or the town favorite fish tacos. Or their signature homemade turkey chili topped with so many fresh garden ingredients you’ll be drooling before you finish ordering. Seriously. So. Delicious.

A little history lesson? Why not! This gorgeous cafe is nestled in the old Bucks Mill at the big five-point intersection right in the middle of town. The original mill was built in 1737, and the charms of its rich history remain in so many beautiful details throughout the cozy cafe. You’ll find open beam cathedral ceilings, barnwood framing around the windows and doorways, and a GORGEOUS custom built coffee bar that’s always a conversation starter. There’s a huge chalkboard above the bar with all the yummy hot and cold drink options laid out to entice, and plenty of seating next to the ceiling-height windows overlooking the creek that runs next to the mill. Grab a friend, your mom, or heck, just go treat yourself and enjoy the view AND the great food/coffee/service/all the things! You won’t regret it. I promise.
